From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On April 17, 2025, Cirrus SR22, privacy data omitted, was flying on an IFR flight plan from kdtn shreveport downtown airport to H35 Clarksville Municipal Airport. The pilot holds a private pilot certificate with an instrument airplane rating. At the time, krue weather was “missing” but the airmen said foreflight said the winds were 150 @ 7 knots and the windsock showed a quartering headwind on runway 9. The airman stated a strong crosswind pushed the airplane off the centerline to the left as the aircraft was in the flare and continued into the grass but was not able to counter with enough rudder and brake due to the soft ground. After the incident, it was noticed by the airman that the windsock was straight out. The aircraft sustained minor damage. There were 2 people on board, of which sustained no injuries. During the investigation, no mechanical issues were noted and VFR conditions prevailed.
