From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 06/02/2025, at 17:10 local time, after a successful landing on runway 20 at the Nut Tree Airport (vcb) and while turning off the runway, privacy data omitted experienced a collapse of the nose gear. A written statement from the pilot said that he was on a flight with a CFI to reinstate his biannual flight review (bfr) currency. It was discussed that they would proceed with trips around the pattern with each trip culminating in a full stop. On the third landing as they were slowing down to about taxi speed to exit the active runway the nose gear collapsed into the wheel well causing a prop strike. On a phone interview with the pilot, he said that the aircraft was functioning properly prior to the incident.
