From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student pilot conducting second solo landing of solo flight. Pilot had pre flight breifing with instructor covering weather report. On approach to koxr rwy 25, pilot encountered unfamiliar crosswinds on touchdown. Pilot noticed windsock blowing to his left and tried to course correct as needed to match. Pilot placed throttle to idle and applied maximum braking. Aircraft still pulled left due to direct crosswind before coming to a rest off the left side of rwy 25. Student pilot performed emergency engine shutdown and contacted tower to declare emergency. Airport operations responded to aircraft. No injuries reported. Aircraft received minor damage and has been removed from service pending maintenance inspections.
