What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
ATIS was reporting 12011-18KT. Pilot was landing runway 22 in Homer. Pilot was accounting for the crosswind with proper inputs. As the pilot touched the upwind tire down there was a gust of wind that lifted the wing up so quickly that his aileron input wasn’t enough to counteract it. The plane made a 3/4 loop to the right and hit the left wing on the ground as it turned. There was no prop strike and the rest of the plane seemed to be okay. The dot escorted the aircraft back to the taxiway.
