From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On August 27, 2025, at 18:30 CDT, the pilot stated that he performed his preflight inspection. After getting weather report from kvct, he attempted to take off from private runway near his property. During take off the aircraft's engine lost power at aproximately 300 feet from the ground during take off climb out phase. The pilot attempted to restart the engine with no success. Pilot had to land on us highway 59 due to the fact that he did not have enough time or elevation to turn around and attempt to land at the runway. During the landing the right wing contacted a light pole. The pilot was able to stop the aircraft on the side of the road, in the ditch. There were no bodily injuries and no damage to third party.
