From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated tha he was taking airplane from X26 to kbro. Had 2 fuel stops and kbro as final destination. When coming in to land was given an extended left base for runway 13. Pre-landing check list completed gear down and confirmed 3 green. Turned final did gumps check and confirmed landing gear down with 3 green. Short final gumps landing gear down and 3 green. Made the runway brought throttles to idle joined ground effect and touchdown. Rolled for about 4 seconds and landing gear horn came on. At that point, the right wing slowly dropping, hitting the ground and bringing the airplane to the right side of the runway. Although he applied full left rudder and brakes, the airplane went off the runway, damaging an airport light. After it stopped, he pulled all the levers back to cut the fuel to reduce the risk of a fire. Pilot declared the emergency to the tower and requested a firetruck.

Due to unkwown reasons the right main gear collapsed. After records review, found this aircraft is affected by FAA AD 2021-08-06, needing to be completed every 12 months or 100 flight hours. Per Beechcraft aircraft maintenance manual, found statement on chapter 32 that states whenever the landing gear mechanism is removed or disconnected, the landing gear should be checked to see that the system is properly rigged.

Note: cause of gear collapse is unkwown at this time. More information forthcoming.

As the FAA filed it

PILOT STATED THA HE WAS TAKING AIRPLANE FROM X26 TO KBRO. HAD 2 FUEL STOPS AND KBRO AS FINAL DESTINATION. WHEN COMING IN TO LAND WAS GIVEN AN EXTENDED LEFT BASE FOR RUNWAY 13.
