From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft encountered severe turbulence 40 miles north east of palm beach (pbi) at flight level 240 (24,000 fett means sea level). Turbulence was for a few seconds, the autopilot disconnected, and 200 feet of altitude was lost. After a return to assigned altitude of FL240, the autopilot was reconnected. This resulted in a flight attendant suffering a hand injury. Aircraft continued to destination (kmia) and landed without further incident. Final disposition of flight attendant unknown.
