What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
While conducting a landing, the pilot observed another aircraft on the runway and initiated a go-around. During the application of power, the aircraft contacted the runway, bounced, and subsequently landed on the runway nose wheel, resulting in a nose gear collapse. The aircraft came to rest on the runway.
Post-event inspection revealed minor propeller tip curling; scuffing and deformation of the lower engine cowling and landing gear doors; and failure of the nose landing gear trunnion linkages and shock absorber assembly. No fire occurred, no injuries were reported, and no substantial damage was noted.
