What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Upon return to the airport, during landing rollout, the pilot encountered a crosswind that picked up the right wing up causing the aircraft to yaw to the left. The aircraft veered off the runway into the grass and the nose gear impacted a runway light, causing the nose landing gear to collapse. The nose gear collapse resulted in the propeller splintering from ground impact. There was no post crash fire or other property damage.
