From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot on approach to 42I Parr, aircraft became too low on final approach and struck powerlines. Power lines severed after contact and pilot was able to land the aircraft on runway 28. No injuries, substantial damage.

Pilot stated that "on final, I was traveling about 60-65 KTS descending, aiming to touch down approximately ¼ the way down for runway 28. Before reaching the runway, a downdraft hit the plane causing it to sink hard. I saw the powerlines as they hit the landing gear and was pulling the yoke back. I continued to descend and landed about¼ of the way down the runway and taxied to the gas pump area. There I was directed to taxi and park the plane at the tied own area south of the

Runway".
