What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
During a normal approach to landing, the aircraft flared high and experienced a small bounce upon touchdown. The upwind wing lifted, and the pilot over-corrected with aileron input, causing the downwind wing to rise. The aircraft subsequently weather-vaned into the wind and departed the runway, striking the left wing and resulting in minor damage. Winds at the time of landing were reported to be approximately 60 degrees off the runway at 6 mph.
