From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On December 14, 2025, at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (kdvt), the pilot of a 1930S-ERA tailwheel aircraft was taxiing, performing from a hangar to runway 7L when the aircraft collided with a flight school training aircraft that was stopped in line awaiting departure. The pilot stated that he was performing s-turn maneuvers while taxiing and did not see the other aircraft prior to the impact. He further stated that he believed he was taxiing behind another aircraft that had departed the hangar area ahead of him. The pilot stated that he believed that there was a lot of clearance between him and the other aircraft. The pilot noted that the taxiway was narrow, and the s-turn maneuvers limited his forward visibility.
