From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Tower was advised of a possible prop strike by incident aircraft. The aircraft was seen in what appenrcd to be normal landing configuration on short final but then went around on the first pass unexpectedly a little after normal touch down area. The aircraft then returned to land and taxied to the ramp. Pilot states that coming to land and while on the flare he was hit by an updraft,by the time he added power his speed already decayed and the airplane hit the pavement pretty hard.

He was able to go around and landed uneventfully.

After parking at the ramp once he did a walk around he realized his propellers struck the pavement. He immediately made some phone calls trying to locate a mechanic who could inspect the airplane.
