From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 08, 2026, a Bellanca 8KCAB, incurred substantial damage during the landing rollout at the Perry Stokes Airport (ktad). After touchdown during the rollout, the right wheel axel assembly sheared off. This resulted in the right wheel to lock up, causing the aircraft to veer right off the runway centerline. Approximately 3 feet from the runway edge, the right wheel and brake assembly departed the aircraft. This resulted in the right wheel strut assembly digging into the pavement. The aircraft then pitched nose over and came to rest upside down off the right side of the runway.
