From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Landing on runway 26 bdu was uneventful, after decelerating to near stop pilot applied full power for touch and go. As rotor RPM and airspeed increased pilot initiated a main-wheel balance and experienced left drift, pilot applied control inputs to correct for crosswind and each time the nose wheel lifted the aircraft drifted left, pilot lowered the nose to regain control. As the aircraft continued to drift to the left toward the runway edge the pilot made a final attempt to lift off. Aircraft tipped over to the left, slid across the runway into the grass area between runway 26 and taxiway alpha, coming to rest on it's side. Pilot and passenger exited aircraft.

As the FAA filed it
