From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During landing touchdown on runway 32R at (kbfi) Boeing field/King county international airport following a flight from (krdm) roberts field airport, the pilot reported that a wind gust in excess of 20 knots was encountered during touchdown, which caused the aircraft to pitch upward. The pilot attempted to level the aircraft and touched back down in a slightly nose-low attitude, resulting in a propeller strike with the runway surface. Following the incident, an inspection of the aircraft revealed no additional damage other than at the tips of the propeller blades.

The kbfi METAR issued at 1653 local indicated winds were 330 at 7 knots gusting to 17 knots.
