From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximate 1910 EST, upon landing on runway 29 at 65J, the aircraft entered a ground-loop condition to the right. The aircraft then departed the right side of the runway and began sliding sideways on the left lower wing. As the aircraft slid sidways, the main landing gear collapsed as it slid across a low depression. The aircraft continued to slide on the collapsed landing gear, coming to rest facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction, about 50 feet from the right edge of the pavement and about 150 feet from where it departed the runway. The pilot stated that the left rudder input was ineffective, nor was left braking. Brake effectiveness could not be validated at the scene due to damage to the system.

As the FAA filed it
