From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 06/04/2026, at approximately 15:00Z (10:00 CDT), the pilot in command (PIC), operating a Beechcraft baron 58 with only the pilot on board, experienced dual alternator failure and loss of electrical power while at cruise altitude of 9000'. After loss of communication with ATC, the PIC descended the aircraft to 4000' and communicated with ground personnel at destination airport via cell phone. PIC performed emergency landing gear extension and ground personnel visually confirmed gear was down. At approximately 15:10Z (10:10 CDT) PIC landed the aircraft and the nose gear collapsed after touchdown. Aircraft skidded to complete stop and PIC exited the aircraft uninjured. Maintenance organization to perform inspection and repair of aircraft. An amendment will be made if required.
