From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While enroute, the airplane crew alerting system warned the crew of issues with the electrical system and fuel system. The crew diverted the flight to Laredo, TX, and while on final for the runway, the engines lost total power. The pilots landed the airplane on a highway. During the examination of the wreckage, the right engine fuel pressure sensor was found separated from the right main fuel line. Also, the right engine starter generator cooling fans were separated from the right engine starter generator. Two of the fans were located in the engine cowling and the cooling fan housing exhibited signs of rotational scoring. Further testing of the right starter generator is scheduled.
