From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

JBU1785 bos-pit while descending into pit encountered severe turbulence from convective weather. Captain stated he observed no indication of weather on radar or wsi pilotbrief. Archived weather shows the flight entered a SIGMET at the approximate time it was issued and would not have been seen by flight crew. He gave no warning to the inflight crew beyond initial brief and had seat belt sign on but crew was not aware of developing weather. Ifc 2 and 3 were out of their seats and received minor injuries. The flight landed and inflight crewmembers continued their flight pairing.
