From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After taxi and engine run-up procedures were completed, the aircraft began departure roll on runway 1. When the aircraft reached 15 knots indicated airspeed, the right main landing gear retracted uncommanded. The aircraft veered towards the right side of the runway at a 45 degree angle before coming to a stop 100 feet from the runway threshold, with the right side of the aircraft resting on the grass. Two 50 foot scrape marks were made on the runway when the tail skid and right flap hinge contacted the pavement. Aircraft requires further evaluation at repair facility. This report will be updated as required if additional findings for aircraft / pilot are noted.
