From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated that they maintained an airspeed of 50 miles per hour and landed long due to a tailwind. Aircraft touched down 3/4 of the way down the grass field runway, boucned, and lost directional control. Aircraft went across a paved Road at the end of the field and came to rest in the ditch on the other side of the Road, missing a large boulder that only the propeller struck. Large ditch caused the main gear to completely fold back. Pilot and passenger had no injuries. Damage to propeller, gear, and engine cowling.
