From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

An interview with the spouse who is a certificated private pilot was the sole passenger. She stated that on takeoff, her husband was drifting off runway centerline. She stated she gave commands to him to apply more rudder to maintain directional control and he was unresponsive. She stated she attempted to correct directional control, however the aircraft struck at tree and stationary flat bed truck resulting in substantial damage. Both sustained serious injuries. Based on medical findings and her husbands lack of response to her commands, she believes her husband had a medical event which caused incapacitation during the takeoff.

As the FAA filed it
