Probable cause
Failure of the pilot to maintain proper runway alignment, which resulted in an encounter with soft/wet (muddy) terrain and a subsequent nose over of the aircraft.
Sequence of events
NTSB’s coding before 2008: each occurrence and phase of flight, and the causes and factors under it. The codes are defined in NTSB’s coding manual.
Analysis
The commercial pilot said that while landing, during an aerial application operation, directional control was lost and the right landing gear encountered soft muddy conditions which resulted in a nose over.
