MACH TRIM FAILED IN-FLIGHT, AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT DESCEND USING PRIMARY TRIM. CREW HAD TO USE SECONDARY TRIM TO RETURN TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT. AFTER COMPLETING CHECKLIST, CREW WENT BACK TO PRIMARY TRIM.
