THE NOSE GEAR SPRING STRUT APPEARED TO HAVE FAILED AT THE END OF THE GUSSET. THERE APPEARED TO BE A PREVIOUSLY UNDETECTED CRACK IN THE LOWER END OF THE GUSSET WELD.
