GRR - AFTER TAKEOFF, PILOT NOTICED SMOKE IN COCKPIT. RETURNED TO GRR. INSPECTION FOUND WINDSHIELD HEAT CONTROLLER FAILED WHICH CAUSED SMOKE AROUND LOWER LEFT SIDEWALL NEXT TO RUDDER PEDALS.
