THE MAIN LANDING GEAR RETRACT CYLINDER PISTON ROD HAS EXTERNAL THREADS TO ACCEPT A ROD END. THE PISTON ROD FAILED AT THE THREADS. RECOMMEND THE THREADED PORTION OF THE PISTON ROD BE CLEANED AND INSPECTED AT REGULAR INTERVALS.
