DURING HEAVY MAINTENANCE CHECK NR 2 ENGINE L/E OF CONTAINMENT RING HAS CORROSION AROUND BOTTOM HALF. ACCOMPLISHED WITH ENGINE REMOVAL ANF REPLACEMENT IAW MD-11 T/C: MS-71-00-03-00-00-01-WG, SEQ, W/O# 15700 AND AMM 71-00-03-000-801.THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE.
