ON TAKEOFF OUT OF BHM PILOT SELECTED GEAR UP BUT NOTHING HAPPENED. RETURNED TO BHM WHERE MAINTENANCE FOUND BROKEN WIRE OFF THE LEFT GEAR SQUAT SWITCH. REPAIRED WIRE, OPS CHECKS GOOD.
