(CAN) RIGHT MAIN GEAR AXLE BROKE DURING LANDING. FRACTURE OCCURRED NEAR THROUGH-BOLT AND WOULD BE DETECTABLE IF AXLE WAS PRESSED OUT OF STRUT ASSEMBLY. AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED.
