#1 ENGINE T.O.T. INCREASED TO 800 DEGREES CELCIUS IN CRUISE. FOUND AN APPROXIMATELY 4 X 4 INCH PIECE OF CHAFE TAPE OBSTRUCTING THE INLET. REPAIRED ENGINE AND RETURNED TO SERVICE.
