MAIN CABIN DOOR MOTOR ACTUATOR FAILED TO BRAKE DURING OPENING OF THE CABIN DOOR WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN MAINTENANCE. DOOR EXTENDED AT A RAPID UNCONTROLLED RATE AND DAMAGED THE DOOR STRUTS AFTER REACHING FULL EXTENSION.
