CREW REPORTED A BURN SMELL IN THE AREA OF THE CAPTAINS MAP LIGHT. MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOT PER THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE CAPTAINS MAP LIGHT AND CHECKED PER THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL. AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED FOR SERVICE.
