WHEN THE PILOT WENT TO SELECT GEAR DOWN PRIOR TO LANDING, THE GEAR HANDLE KNOB CAME OFF IN HIS HAND. HE WAS UNABLE TO EXTEND THE GEAR NORMALLY AFTER THAT.
