Description of Type Design Change: Fabrication and installation of Airglas, Inc., Model GLH3000 hydraulically retractable wheel skis in accordance with Airglas, Inc., Descriptive Data List (DDL) # GLH3000, Revision I, dated March 3, 2015, or later FAA approved revision.
1. Tire size must be 8.50 X 6, Type III only.
2. PA-12 aircraft must have 3” extended PA-18 landing gear installed in accordance with a separate FAA approval.
3. The compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.
4. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this Certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
5. For Instruction for Continued Airworthiness, refer to Airglas Inc., Manual Number GLH3000-105, Revision G, dated March 3, 2015, or later FAA approved revision. When utilizing Wipaire amphibious hydraulic pump systems to actuate these skis, refer to Airglas, Inc. Manual Number GLH3000-105-AHSA, Revision B, dated March 3, 2015, or later FAA approved revision.
6. An FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFMS) is a required part of this installation. See the attached AML to determine which AFMS is required.
