Description of Type Design Change: Re-Life of the Viking Air Limited Model DHC-6 Series 100, 200 and 300 fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and vertical stabilizer in accordance with IKHANA Group, LLC Drawing List No.

ER218-2102, Revision C, dated October 06, 2011, or later FAA approved revision. Maintain the airplane according to IKHANA Group, LLC. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness FR-6-11, Section 8.0 Airworthiness Limitations, Revision NC, dated August 30, 2011, or later FAA approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this modification applies to the above noted model series only. This approval should not be extended to other specific airplanes of this model series on which other approved modification are incorporated, unless it is determined the interrelations between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the aircraft. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission. A copy of this STC must be included in the permanent records of each airplane modified in accordance with this STC.

IKHANA Group, LLC fuselage part number FR00-0000-501, FR00-0000-503, FR00-0001-501, FR00-0001-503, and FR00-0001-505 are approved replacements for Viking Air Limited (formerly Bombardier Inc., or De Havilland Inc.) fuselage assemblies C6FS1000-3, C6FS1000-5, C6FS1000-7, and C6FS1000-9.

IKHANA Group, LLC vertical stabilizer part number FR00-0108-1 and FR00-0108-3 are approved replacements for Viking Air Limited (formerly Bombardier Inc., or De Havilland Inc.) vertical stabilizer part numbers C6TF1001-1 and C6TF1001-3.

IKHANA Group, LLC horizontal stabilizer part number FR00-0109-1 and FR00-0109-3 are approved replacements for Viking Air Limited (formerly Bombardier Inc., or De Havilland Inc.) horizontal stabilizer part numbers C6TP1001-1, C6TP1001-3, C6TP1001-5, and C6TP1001-7.

All Viking Air Limited, Bombardier Inc., or De Havilland Service Bulletins for fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and vertical stabilizer assemblies also pertain to IKHANA Group, LLC. fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and vertical stabilizer assemblies, as applicable.

Any FAA Airworthiness Directives pertaining to Viking Air Limited, Bombardier Inc., or De Havilland Inc.

fuselage, horizontal stabilizer and vertical stabilizer assemblies also pertain to IKHANA Group, LLC fuselage, horizontal stabilizer, and vertical stabilizer assemblies, as applicable.

Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Document No. FR-6-11, Revision NC, dated August 30, 2011, or later FAA accepted revision must be made available at time of installation.

Certification Basis

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Viking Air Limited Model DHC-6 Series -100, -200, and -300 re-life fuselage, re-life horizontal stabilizer, and re-life vertical stabilizer is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for the DHC-6 series airplanes is shown in TCDS A9EA for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of the application, October 26, 2007, is based upon 14 CFR part 23, as amended by Amendment 23-1 through

23-59.
