Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons USA Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the Balloon Works Basket Model 4.5, S/N 1397; the Balloon Works Burner Model F1 Mirage, S/N 349; and Balloon Works fuel tanks, Model B3661-1, S/N 10064, and Model B3661-2, S/Ns 10041 and 10079. The Balloon Works Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated April 10, 2006.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement, dated April 10, 2006, or later FAA approved revisions required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Lindstrand Balloons USA (Envelope) and Balloon Works Balloons (Basket, Burner, Fuel Tanks). 3. The Balloon Works Fire II Auxiliary heater must be installed. 4. Descriptive data pertaining to this design change are considered inadequate for duplication in other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons USA Model 69X, S/N 5293, only. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
