Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons USA Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the Balony Kubicek Basket Model K13, S/N 509; the Balony Kubicek Burner Model IGNIS 2 Units, S/N 1113 and 1114; Schroeder Fire Balloons fuel tank, Part Number VA70, S/Ns A3145, A2849, and A2850627; and Thunder & Colt fuel tank, Part Number V30, S/N 2270. The Balony Kubicek Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons USA carabiner (snaplink).
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated March 9, 2016, is required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Fantasy Balloons (Envelope), Balony Kubicek (Basket, Burner), Schroeder Fire Balloons (Fuel Tanks), and Cameron Balloons (Fuel Tanks). 3. You cannot use descriptive data about this design change to duplicate other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons USA Model 90A, Serial No. 5232. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
