Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of S-61L fixed main landing gear in accordance with McClenahan Engineering master drawing list (MDL) and installation instructions as listed on AML SR01427SE, or later FAA-approved revisions. The rotorcraft must be operated in accordance with Croman Corporation Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement (RFMS) as listed on AML SR01427SE, or later FAA-approved revision. Maintain per Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) document as listed on AML SR01427SE, or later FAA-accepted revision.
Limitations and Conditions: For the Croman Model SH-3H, this installation is limited to serial blocks E/1 through E/5. The serial blocks are defined by the Illustrated Parts Manual Navair 01-230HLH-4-2. This approval should not be extended to other rotorcraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that rotorcraft. Compliance with Sikorsky Service Bulletin 61B25-6C, dated March 8, 1978, and Sikorsky Service Bulletin 61B25-9B, dated July 12, 1978, is required with this certificate.
A copy of this certificate, the RFMS, the MDL, and the ICA must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified helicopter. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
