Limitations and Conditions: The installation should not be incorporated into any aircraft unless it is determined that the interrelationship between this installation and any previously approved configuration will not introduce any adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the aircraft. The approval of this modification applies to the above noted rotorcraft model series only. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Carson Helicopters Inc. SH-3H and the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation S-61A & S-61D Rotorcraft with the shorter composite blades is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for parts not changed or affected by this STC for the Carson Helicopters Inc. SH-3H Rotorcraft is as listed in TCDS R00014LA and for the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation S-61A & S-61D is as listed in TCDS H2EA.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the referenced date of application, September 11, 2015, is based upon 14 CFR 29 at Amendment 35 which is beyond the amendment level of both the Carson Helicopters Inc. SH-3H and the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation S-61A & S-61D Rotorcraft.
