75SN8001-MDL, Revision J, dated March 11, 2015, or later FAA-approved revisions.

1. Live TV Aircraft Flight Manual Supplement, Document Number 75SN8001-AFM, Revision A, dated April 10, 2015, or later FAA approved revisions, is required and must be carried in the aircraft during all flights.

2. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for the 757-300, Live TV Document Number 753N8001-NCA Revision E, dated August 22, 2014, or later FAA accepted revisions, shall be made available to the operator at the time of installation.

3. Supplemental EWIS Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Live TV Document Number 75SN8001-EWI Revision B, dated May 31, 2011, or later approved FAA revisions shall be made available to the operator at the time of installation.

4. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will produce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that airplane.

5. Required structural inspections for compliance with FAR 25.571 on the 757-300 are listed in the Airworthiness Limitations Section of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Document Number 753N8001-NCA Revision E, dated August 22, 2014, or later FAA approved revisions.

6. The installation of this STC on the 757-300 is contingent upon the installation of Koito First/Tourist class seats in accordance with Supplemental Type Certificate ST09703AC-D. The installation of this STC on the 757-300 may not be done without the installation of Supplemental Type Certificate ST09703AC-D.

7. This STC only applies to aircraft operated by United Airlines. Any other 757-300 wanting to use the Live TV installation will have to supply a new set of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness for that installation and amend this STC.

8. This STC may not be applied to an airplane unless Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2008-10-11 has been complied with or a corresponding AMOC to AD 2008-10-11 has been approved by the FAA.

9. In accordance with the FAA Los Angeles Aircraft Certification Office letter 130L-15-66, dated March 23, 2015, this modification is FAA approved as an Alternate Method of Compliance (AMOC) to paragraph (f) of Airworthiness Directives (AD) 2007-16-12.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Boeing 757-300 aircraft is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for the Boeing 757-300 airplane is shown on TCDS A2NM for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, January 30, 2008, is based upon part 25 as amended by amendment 25-123 dated 10 December 2007, as applicable. Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
