From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on lowering the landing gear the nose gear failed to extend. The pilot landed with the nose gear retracted. There was minor damage to the aircraft and no injuries to the occupants. Examination of the aircraft disclosed that the nose gear shock strut was deflated (no air pressure). This model aircraft requires air pressure to extend the shock strut fully, in order to engage the nose wheel centering device. Because this device was not engaged the nose gear retracted with the nose wheel not centered and it jammed in the wheel well. Neither the normal nor the emergency hydraulic systems could free it. privacy data omitted There was no pilot deviation. This incident is closed.

As the FAA filed it

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THERE WAS NO PILOT DEVIATION. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.
