From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: during landing, pilot stated, he touched down on right main landing gear and right main landing gear folded into wheel well. During the investigation found rod end bearing for right main landing gear drag brace broken in the thread area. Rod end bearing appears to have been cracked for some time prior to failure. Mr. Bumgardner could not remember where he purchased rod end bearings at, but they were aircraft rod end bearings. Suggested he need to check all like rod end bearing on aircraft for cracks. This incident is closed. Incident #CE96IGA0011.
