From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft landed jac and slid off end of runway. Pilots state vref was 105 KTS. Computed landing distance 3350' at 26 degree f, .6 degrees downslope (runway), 5 knts. Tailwind. Weather at time of approach: x 1SCT 110VC 1.25M 25/29 360/05 30.13. Braking action was reported as "fair" by airport vehicle, but was actually "poor" to "nil". Airport incident reports conflict with friction measurement reports. Landing on glide slope left approximately 5490' of useable runway. Runway 18 had been plowed, but there was substantial black ice on the surface, covered by one to two inches of loose snow. Airport friction measurement report fails to report icing condition on runway 18. (See attachments 17 pages| for further details.) This is a fi nal report.
