From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot reported that he entered downwind at 1400 MSL at 100 knots. Lowered the gear, but stated the gear did not sound normal and did not have a red or green light. Pilot stated that the nose gear indicated a barber pole. He stated that he could see the gear in the wing mirrors, but was not sure if the gear was down and locked. He did state that he did not remember hearing the gear lock and did not understand what the nose gear indicator barber pole meant. He stated that he heard the horn and added power and twisted the indicator light, but could not see a light. The aircraft settled on the main landing gear, and then he heard the sound of metal. He stated that after landing he noticed that the landing circuit bracket was popped. Investigation on-going subject to findings after repairs made.
