From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot had no gear up indication, tried recycling handle. No effect; c/b no effect. Finally was able to hand crank after long tiring effort, got down lock indication. Landed but right gear collapsed on roll out, minor damage to right MLG area, both doors, MLG torque tube, wheel well braces for inbd door, inbd door control rod broken, suspect this caused door to jam, not allowing rt. Gear to come up, which bent torque tube and caused gear to not fully extend, which resulted in gear collapse and prop strike for rt. Engine. Right inbd gear door control rod sent to Raytheon aircraft company to see if part was fractured prior to failure. As of August 14, 1996, report from Raytheon still not received. This matter is considered closed.
