From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot said he sustained no injuries. He submitted the following statement. Note; the original signed statement is on file at NE-FSDO-03. "I departed skylark airport at approximately 4:10 p.m. local time. I proceeded to baf and was assigned runway 2 for landing with a right base. On about 2 mile right base I thought I put the gear down, but in retrospect, I realize that I had put the flaps down because when I went to put the flaps down, they were already down. It did not dawn on me that I had not put the gear down until I had made contact with the ground," signed by james m. quinn.
