From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Veered off runway landing. Ground looped. Damaged right wing. Bent rear spar. Failed land into wind or go around. (-23) pilot stated that during landing roll, the a/c drifted off the LH side of the runway. He reported to landing the a/c in a manner to place the CG toward the aft limits and when landing on runway 26L at El Paso, with reported winds from 200 degrees at 7 knots, he could not keep the plane straight. As the a/c departed the hard surface he discontinued braking to avoid nosing over and the a/c ground looped, resulting in damage to the right wing (including bending of the aft spar).
