From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: minneapolis ARTCC lost radar and radio contact with N1989H at 1525Z. Subsequently, columbus, NE afss reported the aircraft landed at Red Cloud, NE at 1615Z as reported by the pilot via cellular phone. Investigation determined the aircraft departed Red Cloud for grand island, NE to have the radio/electrical problem resolved. Grand island avionics checked the aircraft and determined the avionics master relay failed - which is common. They did not have the appropriate part so they bypassed this circuit and the aircraft master switch then controlled the avionics equipment. N1989H departed grand island at 0100Z for billing, MT. This incident is closed with this report.
